Online Class IV Laser Safety Course For Medical practitioners - Australia
This course is designed for medical practitioners, including doctors, nurses, and qualified staff responsible for the safe use of lasers in their practices. It offers comprehensive knowledge of Class IV therapeutic laser equipment, also covering Class IIIb, for managing acute and chronic pain, neurological injuries, and rehabilitation following musculoskeletal injuries. The training includes an overview of the basic mechanisms and safety features for treating conditions such as plantar warts and toenail fungus.
Participants will learn about basic laser physics, laser therapy settings and parameters, specific laser hazards, prevention strategies, and essential laser safety protocols for medical practice.
Laser License for Doctors in Australia
This course is essential for obtaining a laser license and meeting compliance, regulatory, and insurance requirements.
In Queensland, Tasmania, and Western Australia, a laser license is required to use a Class IV laser.
Completing a laser safety course is one of the prerequisites for applying for this license. In the ACT, NT, NSW, VIC, and SA, a laser license is not required for Class IV lasers; however, taking a laser safety course is recommended for insurance purposes.
This training aligns with Australian and New Zealand standards and laser safety regulations, and it can be used to apply for a laser license in QLD, TAS, and WA.
