The course includes fundamental laser physics, understanding therapy settings and parameters, identifying specific laser hazards, how to prevent them, and implementing common safety protocols in chiropractic practice.
Laser License for Chiropractors in Australia
This course is valuable for meeting laser license, compliance, regulatory, and insurance requirements.
In Queensland, Tasmania, and Western Australia, a license is required to use Class IV lasers. Completing a laser safety course is one of the prerequisites for applying.
In ACT, NT, NSW, VIC, and SA, a laser license is not mandatory for using Class IV lasers, but taking this course is recommended for insurance purposes.
The course is designed in accordance with Australian and New Zealand laser safety standards and regulations, and can be used for applying for a laser license in QLD, TAS, and WA.
Recommended study time
While half a day is typically sufficient to complete the course, students have up to 1 year to finish. Upon completion, participants earn 2 continuous education credits. Enrollment is open year-round.
