ONLINE CLASS IV LASER SAFETY COURSE FOR DENTISTS

This course is a surgical laser safety course for dentists responsible for the safe use of a surgical laser in their practice. This training offers a comprehensive knowledge of Class IV surgical diode lasers apparatus for soft tissue and oral surgery.
The course will review, basic laser physics, the comprehension of surgical laser parameters (Power, Pulsing T-On T-Off, spot size Wavelengths), details of specific laser hazards, how to prevent them, and common laser safety protocols to implement in veterinary practice.

Laser Licence For Dentists In Australia

This course is useful for laser license, compliance, regulatory, and insurance purposes.​
Queensland, Tasmania, and Western Australia require a laser license to use a Class IV surgical laser.
ACT, NT, NSW, VIC, and SA do not require a laser license to use a Class 4 laser, however, it is recommended to access a laser safety course for insurance purposes.
This course is based on the Australian & New Zealand standards and laser safety regulations. It can be used to apply for a laser license in QLD, TAS, WA.

Recommended Study Time

Half a day is usually sufficient to complete this surgical laser safety course. However, students have up to 1 year to complete the course.
The online course is rewarded with 2 credits in continuous education.
Students are welcome to start at any time.
